Come and see....

Come as you are....

St John's, Markyate

We're the church in the valley in Markyate. We're straightforward, spiritual and friendly. Our beloved church building was once a private chapel for Cell Park, which is why it's in such an odd place. But the village of Markyate is very fond of it.

We enjoy music and singing, discussing our faith together, hosting the Markyate Panto each year, and doing our level best to live out what we believe.

We're proud to be an inclusive church, so everyone is welcome. This includes you.

Come and see us on Sundays at 9.30am or on Wednesdays at 10.00am.

St Leonard's, Flamstead

We're the church on the hill in Flamstead, sometimes called the 'Mouse Church'. We're an inclusive church too, which means that because everyone is included in the Kingdom of God, everyone is included here.

We are a growing church community, and increasingly, a community hub. We host concerts and performances, a computer friendly group, a baby and toddler group, dungeons and dragons and more...

Experts think our building dates back to the 12th century. When you visit, you'll be amazed at our history, our stories, wall paintings and medieval graffiti. We host a much loved family of knitted and crocheted church mice. Your children will love them.

Our recent roof repair was kindly funded by the National Heritage Lottery Fund. Find out more, here:

Join us at 11.15am on Sundays or at 10.00am for our Friday Communion. You can be sure of a warm welcome.
